Loving, learning, growing together with Jesus
As a school community, together with staff, governors, children, families and our parish and local community, we want to provide the very best education for the children and families in our care.
Please find below a link to our School Development Plan for this current academic year.
On Friday 20th March, school closed to almost all pupils due to the Covid-10 Coronavirus Pandemic. School remained open to key workers and vulnerable children, who continued to attend each day to support the country’s response to the Pandemic. This was around ten to twenty children each day. Staff were placed on a rota and attended school when needed.
On Monday 8th June, school continued to be open to vulnerable children and the children of key workers. The number of children increased to around 100. Children were organised into small ‘bubbles’ of around eight children. In total, there were 13 ‘bubbles’. All staff, who were not deemed medically vulnerable, returned to work full time. Each ‘bubble’ was staffed by two members of staff. In most cases this was a teacher and teaching assistant.
Throughout, teachers provided online home learning and supported the children and families through regular emails and telephones calls. Around ten families were visited at least fortnightly with food hampers.
Children were supported in their transition to the junior school through close liaison with the junior school.
Many areas of this School Development Plan have not been fully achieved but will continue into the next academic year.
We are constantly reviewing our provision and evaluation ourselves in order to improve the education and the care we provide to our children and their families. Please find below the latest School Evaluation.
